In 2024 our city will celebrate the Winston-Salem Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 7, at 5pm.

Please note the name of the Parade, The WS Ambassadors HOLIDAY Parade! It is not a "Christmas Parade" only. Though we do welcome and celebrate Christmas, we embrace all holidays, and encourage those who celebrate others Holidays as well! That's why our banner has Hannukkah, Solstice, Kwanzaa, and Yule as well.

About the Parade

In 1990, a group of civic-minded young professionals who called themselves the Winston-Salem Jaycees joined forces with businesses and organizations throughout the city to bring Winston-Salem a parade filled with holiday cheer and glad tidings.

These young leaders aged 21-41 planned and promoted the parade while developing leadership skills and serving their community.

While the Jaycees passed on the running and execution of the Parade to the Winston-Salem Ambassadors... this year is no exception! Our nonprofit loves and cherishes this event, and the opportunity to bring joy to thousands.

The Holiday Parade will be partnering with the City of Winston-Salem to bring you the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony directly following the parade at Corpening Plaza.
